until he built them.

Before the internet was a business strategy, Steve was helping wire it together — designing WAN infrastructure across countries and Bell operators at a time when most companies were still figuring out what a network was. That instinct for building what doesn't exist yet has defined every chapter since.

The WAN stress and protocol testing platform he built became the tool AT&T, ECI Telecom, Siemens, and others used to validate their own equipment — before tools like it existed anywhere. He then brought the internet to sea — creating the Internet Café concept for major cruise lines and serving as the ISP for the ships at a time when connectivity at sea didn't exist as a business. He took onboard games of chance and rebuilt them from the ground up with technology, turning a manual operation into a platform that transformed revenue for operators fleet-wide. That same instinct is now pointed at cruise excursion operations — a vertical that has never had purpose-built AI infrastructure.
